Dakota Alert DCHT-2500 Wireless Driveway Alarm System
The Dakota Alert DCHT-2500 System consists of a weatherproof transmitter box and 25-feet rubber hose vehicle sensor. It uses wireless infrared frequency (433.92 MHz) to communicate with Dakota Alert DCR-2500 and PR-2500 receivers.
How to use the alarm system? Just lay the hose across the residential driveway or commercial service station. Then mount the transmitter box on a tree or wooden post (3-ft off the ground). Avoid installing the transmitter into a steel post as it may interfere with radio signals. When a car drives over the hose, the DCHT-2500 will transmit the alarm signal to any Dakota 2500 Series Receiver.
The DCHT-2500 Transmitter can send alert signals up to 2500-feet. However, if trees or metal posts obstruct the transmitter's line of sight, the range may be reduced. Dakota Alert offers an expandable outdoor alarm system with the 2500 Series. You can monitor up to four zones with additional DCHT-2500 transmitters.
Note: The DCPT-2500 Transmitter only works with any Dakota Alert 2500 receivers.
